Fitness and Nutrition

So, how are your resolutions coming along? Have you had to make few adjustments already?

Remember if you had, that's not a bad thing at all. It could mean that may be your goal was somewhat unrealistic. But don't worry, if you are starting something new it is always tough at first. Give it a little time and you'll be surprised what you can accomplish.

So, I'd like to talk about couple of resolutions that I am sure some of you have committed to: Fitness and Nutrition.

Since the beginning of the year I've come across many interesting fitness tips. From how to stick to your routine to how to lose pounds fast. So, there is plenty to share with you. But just before I've started to write this post I came across something that is close to my heart: Russian Kettlebells.

Funny how it is becoming a trend again. It originated in Russia and have been around for quite sometime, first mention of a kettlebell is from 1704. It's been very popular among wrestlers and bodybuilders for an easy use and fast loss of fat. As you might have noticed, in the last few years they are becoming more popular among anyone who is looking to stay fit. It has become quite popular among us, women.

Personally, I have been a fan of kettlebells for sometime but never really took it seriously, until today. I came across this kettlebell workout form Self magazine. It claims to burn 300 calories in 15 minutes. You know, I am pretty sceptical about some of the statements out there but this one I can believe. I remember "playing" around with kettlebells in the gym class in Russia. So yes, I believe this statement and going to start this program. I'll definitely let you know how it goes. I also would love to hear if any of you will take up this regiment and how it works out for you.

Now, I'd love to share few nutrition tips with you. Once again, there are sooooo many to go through and there is something new everyday. But we'll take few tips at a time.

Today, I'd like to mention few tips from one of my favorite magazine "Women's Health".

The first tip is very valuable. It helps you to curb your appetite by chewing gum, eating potatoes and sniffing food. That's right, potatoes and food sniffing! Discover it for yourself, "7 Ways to Stay Full Longer".

Second tip is about decreasing the size of you serving. Yes, it's tough. Especially if it's your favorite. But changing colours of your walls, choosing a better serving bowl and removing candles can help you to do just that. Read on in "Portion-Control Tricks".

In think that should be enough reading material for you for today. I really hope that you put some of these tips into action. And if you do, I'd love to hear about your accomplishments.

Have a fantastic day and remember,
